Mr. Waseem Shah holds MSc in Applied Geology from the University of Kashmir and pursuing PhD in the field of surface and groundwater hydrology at the department of Earth Sciences, University of Kashmir. He is currently working in National Himalayan Cryospheric Research Lab as Project Associate since October 2020. He has a research experience of over three years in the field of hydrology and geohydrology. His research interests revolve around watershed hydrology, hydrological modelling, geohydrology, spring hydrology, and isotope hydrology with keen interest on the interaction zone hydrology. He is an experienced trekker and mountaineer and has visited several mid and high altitude glaciers across the Kashmir and Zanskar valley for various research based activities.
