The National Himalayan Cryospheric Research Lab (HCRL) has deployed a network of 17 meteorological towers across the Kashmir valley to conduct an in-depth analysis of the prevailing atmospheric conditions. These towers incorporate a range of sophisticated sensors such as those designed to monitor precipitation rate and distribution, temperature, humidity, cloud height, dew point, pressure, wind speed, wind direction, and solar radiation. The collected data is recorded at regular five-minute intervals, and the stations are strategically placed at varying elevations throughout the region to capture a comprehensive view of the meteorological patterns in the area
