The National Himalayan Cryospheric Research Lab (HCRL) has deployed a network of 17 meteorological towers across the Kashmir valley to conduct an in-depth analysis of the prevailing atmospheric conditions. These towers incorporate a range of sophisticated sensors such as those designed to monitor precipitation rate and distribution, temperature, humidity, cloud height, dew point, pressure, wind speed, wind direction, and solar radiation.
