Air Quality parameters are measured since 2012 the pollutants measured are PM10, PM2.5, CO, CO2, NOx (NO+NO2), O3, CH4, non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC), and black carbon at 5-minute intervals. The PM is measured using the Met One BAM 1020 particulate monitor. Ozone is measured by Serinus 10 Ozone Analyzer using UV photometric analysis by detecting the absorption of UV radiation in a glass absorption tube. Nitrogen oxides are measured by the Serinus 40 Oxides of Nitrogen Analyzer which uses the principle of the gas phase chemiluminescence method. The carbon monoxide is measured by Serinus 30 Carbon Monoxide Instrument which works on the principle of Non-Dispersive Infrared Spectrophotometry (NDIR) technology with Proven Gas Filter Correlation (GFC). The calibration for gases NOX, CO and O3 is done by span and zero calibration method through inbuilt calibration unit after every 24 hrs interval.
